Team Tryouts for 10U-17U Teams

The Houston Insiders will be conducting individual team tryouts for all ages (10U-17U) – 5th/6th graders thru high school juniors during January and February 2010 until all positions are filled. 

The next tryout will be held on February 13, 2010 at McDonald Jr. High in Katy ISD.

Sydney Penetrates to Score

  • Sydney Colson turned in a career-high 19 points and dished out 10 assists which marked only her second double-digit assist game next to a career-best 11 versus Texas State on Dec. 13, 2008.

Former Houston Insiders player “Nay”  Carter has a good game against Alabama.

 Freshman Gevenia “NAY” Carter scored a career-high 10 points for UCF against Alabama. She was selected Conference USA Freshman of the Week, December 22, 2009.

Dezi Goes Srong for 2 Pts.

Deziree Green led the Islanders in scoring for the opening conference game against Central Arkansas, contributing 17 points with 15 of those coming in the first half.  Green was 5-of-8 from behind the arc, tying her career-high for made three-point shots. ”Dez was amazing today and did what she is capable of doing,” said Robinson. “If you leave her open she can hit the three-point shot.”
